I get a lot of receipts with surveys on them. Honestly, as a busy mom, I don't have time to do a bunch of surveys. However, today when I got my Burger King receipt, I decided to see how long their survey would take. It was worth a free sandwich. Much to my surprise in the time it took me to eat my Whopper Jr. I had completed the survey and received the validation code to write on the receipt. Now at my next visit, I just give them the receipt with the code on it and I will receive either a free Whopper or Chicken Sandwich (my choice, with a purchase of fries and a drink). It was easy and I didn't have to give any of my personal information or email address.
I love getting paid for my opinion even if it is just a burger.
Burger Kings survey is a DO!
Happy Savings,
Katie

It's Maple Time!
If you are looking for a fun, educational and free family outing this weekend visit a Maple Farm and learn first hand about the production of maple syrup and other related products. There are many Maple Farms throughout NYS. Visit www.mapleweekend.com then click on Locations to find a Maple Farm near you.
My favorite maple product is the maple candies. They are so good but you can't eat to many of them at one time.
Enjoy your Maple adventure!

Sharing the Sweets ~ Week #4
This past weekend was my turn to share the sweets and I
shared a little more then I wanted to.
But it all worked out in the end.
I decided to make Cinnamon Swirl Bread and Banana Bread for my baking
buddies. I got up early to finish baking
the last few loaves before I had to head out to work and my husband was going
to take them out for me. When I got home
I noticed 2 of the loaves tops looked funny.
So I asked my 7 year old what happened to the bread and he said that he
spilled his water on the counter and when he went to clean it up he pulled the
towel the bread was sitting on and the bread fell on the floor and our dog took
a bite out of both then he picked it up quick and put it back on the
counter. So I got to share my bread with
the dog too and now had to bake two more.
Thankfully, I use the Pillsbury Bread Mixes and they are easy to
make. You just add the mix, eggs, oil
and water, stir and bake. It’s that easy and they taste great! I enjoyed spending the time baking for my
friends. It’s a good feeling when you
can do something for someone else.
Ready for delivery.
After speaking with all the Baking Buddies, we have decided to continue baking and sharing our sweets with each other. Everyone's family enjoyed the experience and receiving all the goodies.

Sharing the Sweets ~ Week #3
This week was Christina's turn to share the sweets. Below Christina wrote about her experience sharing her sweets. Christina baked Monkey Bread. My family has never had Monkey Bread so it was a nice treat.
We had a great time as a family with our baking buddies weekend. My kids all helped make the Monkey Bread. We followed an easy recipe found on Pillsbury.com. I have one bit of advice, only bake one pan at a time. When I had 3 pans in the oven, the baking time was over an hour and hard to get the middle to cook.
I have really enjoyed being a part of the baking buddies, and so has my family. Each of the kids got to deliver their monkey bread to a family and loved doing so.

Blossom is loving her freebies!
Today I received a really nice Purina One Smart Blend sample from Walmart. Blossom really enjoyed the food. As soon as I opened the bag she was staring me down waiting. Plus she loved us taking pictures because she kept getting more food while we tried to get a good picture. She would have eaten the whole bag if I let her.
I also receive a $4.00 off coupon with the Purina sample from Walmart, a Disney Vacation Planning DVD that goes behinds the scenes of Disney and a coupon for a FREE bottle of Pepsi Next.
Make sure you visit Walmart.com regularly to see what free samples are available.
Enjoy,

Sharing the Sweets ~ Week #2
This week was Mandy's turn to share the sweets. Below Mandy wrote about her experience sharing this week. My family personally enjoyed the sweet treats Mandy delivered to us.
Ella cutting the bananas
Mandy and Ella preparing the treats
Jason dipping the bananas in chocolate.
Before and after
Our family changed what we were originally going to bake due to the arrival of NEMO. Since we did not know if the power would go out, we decided to do this PB "Nana Cream Bites " we found on Pinterest. It was also nice that we could involve our 5 year old more and our 1 1/2 year old was able to help by sitting in his chair eating peanut butter. Ella did most of the cutting so some of them were not exactly 1/2-3/4 inch thick. I did the peanut butter part and then my husband, Jason did the chocolate part. It was nice to be able to include all 4 of us in the kitchen at the same time!
Recipe:
PB ‘Nana Cream Bites
2 large bananas
1/4 cup natural peanut butter
1/2 cup chocolate chips
2 tbsp-1/4 cup milk of choice
Line a cookie sheet with waxed paper or parchment. Slice bananas into coins about 1/2–3/4 inch thick. Spread a little dollop of peanut butter on top of each one. In a small bowl, combine the chocolate chips and milk (remember, less is more). Microwave in 15 second increments until you can whisk them together. You want it to be a dip able consistency, not spreadable. Add a splash more milk if necessary. Dip the banana chunks using a fork as a little chocolate-coating forklift, dipping them into the melted chocolate. Place chocolate coated bananas on the prepared sheet and place in freezer until completely frozen (3–5 hours). Remove frozen banana chunks from the sheet and store in a freezer container.
